Exterior Car Detailing in Vaughan

Foam pre-wash, contact wash, wheels and tires, decontamination and a protective wax or sealant. We bring our own water and power. Exterior-only details start at $85; full packages from $185.

An exterior detail is not a car wash done slowly. A wash removes what is loose on the paint; a detail is concerned with what is not — the bonded film that a wash leaves behind, the brake dust baked onto the wheel faces, the salt in the wheel wells, and the layer of road grime that has quietly turned a dark car matte.

It also matters a great deal how the paint gets cleaned. Most of the fine scratching on an older car was put there during washing, by grit dragged across panels. The sequence a detail follows — lift and rinse first, only then touch the paint — exists specifically to avoid adding to that.

What's included at each level

Every package covers the outside of the vehicle. The tiers differ in how far the paint and wheels are taken, not in whether they are touched. If you only want the outside done, an exterior-only detail starts at $85.

Why the order matters

Every step before the paint gets touched exists to reduce what is on the paint when it does.

  1. Foam pre-wash

A layer of foam is laid over the vehicle and left to dwell. It softens and lifts road film and loose grit so that it rinses away instead of being dragged across the paint by a mitt. This is the step a drive-through wash skips, and it is the one that protects the finish.

  2. Wheels and tires

Wheels are done as their own job because they carry the dirtiest contamination on the vehicle — brake dust, road salt and tar — and you do not want any of that near the paint. Tires are cleaned and dressed. On Platinum the wheel barrels, the inner faces you only see through the spokes, are cleaned too.

  3. Contact wash

Only once the loose material is off does anything touch the paint. This is where a hand wash differs from a machine: a clean mitt, worked panel by panel, with the grit already rinsed away rather than still sitting there waiting to be dragged.

  4. Decontamination and protection

Washing does not remove everything. Bonded contamination stays on the paint and leaves it rough to the touch even when clean — that is what the decontamination treatment in Platinum addresses. Gold and Platinum then finish with a protective wax for added shine and protection.

What GTA roads do to paint

Vehicles here work through two hard seasons. From late autumn into spring, road salt and brine coat the underbody, wheel wells and rocker panels, and get tracked onto carpets and mats where they dry into white staining. Through the summer, tree sap, pollen and bird droppings settle on horizontal panels and bake in the sun — all far easier to lift before they etch than after.

Which is the practical argument for exterior detailing on a schedule rather than a rescue basis: most of the work is removing contaminants before they have time to bond to the surface. Once sap has etched into clear coat or salt has been left to sit, you are no longer washing — you are into paint correction, which costs considerably more. A ceramic coating gives those contaminants less to grip in the first place, and our monthly maintenance plans exist to keep the vehicle ahead of the seasons rather than behind them.

Exterior add-ons

How long it takes, and why we come to you

Most details take between 2-6 hours depending on your vehicle's size and condition, and we will give you a more accurate time estimate when you book. A vehicle that has been through a winter without attention sits at the longer end of that.

The obvious question about a mobile exterior detail is where the water comes from. The answer is that we bring it. We arrive fully equipped with our own water and power supply, so there is nothing you need to set up — no hose, no outdoor tap, no outlet. That is what makes it work in a condo lot or an office car park as readily as a driveway, across Vaughan, Woodbridge, Kleinburg, Maple, Concord, Thornhill, King City, Nobleton and Richmond Hill.

Weather is the one thing that moves an exterior booking. We monitor the forecast and will reach out to reschedule if conditions could affect the quality of your detail, at no charge. And if you are in a condo or apartment, let us know the building details when booking — we need reasonable access to the vehicle and a parking spot to work in, and we will confirm before the day.

Exterior detailing questions

Do you need my water or an outdoor tap?

No — we bring our own water and power supply, so there's nothing you need to set up. Just show up with the keys.

How is this different from a car wash?

A wash removes what is loose. A detail deals with what is bonded — road film, brake dust, salt and, on Platinum, contamination that a wash leaves behind entirely. It also matters that the paint is foamed and rinsed before anything touches it, which is what keeps the wash itself from adding fine scratches.

Will an exterior detail remove scratches and swirl marks?

No. Washing and waxing clean and protect the paint; they do not remove defects in it. Removing swirls and light scratches means machine polishing the clear coat, which is paint correction and is quoted as its own service starting at $795.

What's the difference between the wax and a ceramic coating?

The protective wax included from Gold up adds shine and a layer of protection as part of the detail. A ceramic coating is a separate service, applied to prepared paint and quoted after we assess the finish, starting at $795.

Can you detail my car in an apartment or condo parking lot?

Yes, as long as we have reasonable access to your vehicle and a parking spot to work in. Let us know your building details when booking and we'll confirm.

What happens if it rains on the day?

We monitor the forecast and will reach out to reschedule if weather could affect the quality of your detail — no charge for rescheduling.
